Compress images: smaller JPG, PNG and WebP files

Drop one photo or a whole batch, choose a quality or a maximum size in KB, and download the smaller files. Everything happens on your device.

  1. Choose file
  2. Set options
  3. Get result

Your file never leaves your device. Processed locally in your browser. Nothing is uploaded. Location and camera metadata (EXIF) are removed from the result.

Transparent areas become white in JPG.

Quality or target size

Use the quality presets for everyday sharing (80% is visually lossless for most photos), or type a maximum size, such as 70 KB for a form that rejects bigger files. GustKit then searches for the highest quality that fits and only reduces the dimensions if it has to.

PNG screenshots

PNG is lossless, so the biggest savings come from saving it as WebP or JPG. Choose the output format to do that. If an image can't get smaller in its own format, GustKit keeps the original instead of giving you a bigger file.

Frequently asked questions

Will my photos lose quality?

At 80–90% the difference is very hard to see. Lower presets and small KB targets trade visible detail for size.

Is the location removed?

Yes. Re-encoding drops EXIF metadata such as GPS location and camera model, while the orientation is applied to the pixels.
